What moved the number, and the missions I follow
Most posts here explain a change in my odds: a step settled, a probability revised, a famous claim held against a step's test, the headline moving. Some, marked mission news, are about a space mission worth following on the way out, whether or not it moves them. Some, marked a discovery, are about something newly found in the solar system. Every post says what happened and what it does not mean.
Will I live and work in space before I die? Where the odds stand, and what could change them
I built this site to work out my real odds of living and working in space, and to update them as the world moves. This first post says where the number stands, why it is so small, what has happened since the site began, and what to watch next.

A likely new dwarf planet beyond Pluto: what the Rubin Observatory found, and what it does and does not change for my odds
The Rubin Observatory's first dwarf planet candidate, 2026 ED138, found on October 13th, 2026 about 46 times as far from the Sun as the Earth is. No step of the tree is about finding worlds, so my odds hold still, but a telescope that maps the small bodies of the solar system at this pace is drawing the map the steps will be walked on.
Every entry that moved the number, and every famous thing that did not, is in the story so far. The weekly readings themselves are on the Radar.
